Roulette Strategy
Even though Roulette is one of the world's most popular table games, it certainly is one of the games with a high house edge. Because of this, a lot of time has been spent in developing basic game strategies that will increase the chance of winning.
A good roulette strategy helps you plan your bets and betting amounts. Furthermore, it gives you a better chance of making some money even after you have lost a couple of games. For example, it should tell you when to double your bets or withdraw the winnings.
There is more than one strategy that tries to lower the house edge, but no matter the strategy the house edge always stays the same. However, even with the help of a roulette game strategy, statistically the house has advantage over the players and all you need is luck.
Bitcoin Roulette Variants
Similarly to many other table games, roulette has more than one game variation. Even though some of the basic rules are the same, there are important differences that make certain roulette games more favorable than the others. The rules, layouts and payouts – they all matter when it comes to a roulette game strategy.
A perfect example of this is the European Roulette. Because of its layout, which consist of numbers from 1 to 36, plus one green zero field, this game has a lower house edge than the American Roulette. The American Roulette layout has only one pocket more – the double zero one. Exactly this sets the house edge at 5.26%, higher than the European Roulette house edge of 2.70%.
Inside and Outside Bets
Before choosing the right roulette strategy for you, you must know the basic rules and types of bets. There are two basic types – inside and outside bets. The inside bets usually have better payouts than the outside ones. However, the likelihood of winning inside bets is lower than the odds of winning when placing outside bets.
Inside Bets
To place an inside bet means placing your chip somewhere over the number fields on the layout. There are several possibilities of placing inside bets. Of course, the one that pays off the best is betting on a single number. If you happen to guess the numbers correctly, the payout you will get is 35 to 1.
In addition, you can bet on two neighboring numbers (split), three adjacent numbers (row), four adjacent numbers (corner) and etc.
Outside Bets
Betting on any field outside the numbers is placing outside bets. Every layout offers wagering on black or red pockets, even or odd numbers, the first or the latter 18 numbers and column bets. Additionally, sometimes there are dozen, snake and some other variations of outside bets.
Choose the Best Strategy
After you are familiar with how to play the game, the rules and the payouts rate, you could proceed to choosing the strategy that is the best for you. Here are some popular strategies that proved efficient and, if not making you a fortune, will definitely prolong the game-play.
Martingale Betting Strategy
The Martingale betting strategy or roulette system suggests that doubling your bets after you lose will eventually bring you back the lost amount and even some profit. For example, if you bet on black and lose three times in a row you should double your bet after every game session. Probability says that it is inevitable to hit black and win back all that you have previously lost.
However, since some tables have maximum bet limits you should know that, at some point, you will not be able to double the bet. Another negative side is the possibility of losing all the money before having the chance to win anything at all.
Five Quad Strategy
This is one interesting strategy where the player place five corner bets and one single number bet. All bets should be of the same amount. This way, the player has covered 21 numbers out of 36 + the zero. If the outcome is any of the covered numbers, the player will make a profit of at least three chips more than he wagered.
Fibonacci Strategy
Similar to the Martingale strategy, Fibonacci advises combining the two previous bets into the third one. For example, if you wagered 0.1 BTC on the first game and 0.1 BTC on the second game, your next bet should be 0.2 BTC. Nevertheless, the same negative sides that are found at the Martingale strategy apply to this strategy as well.
